# Tokenomics

<mark style="color:purple;">**Silencio will release and implement a comprehensive tokenomics structure in 2024.**</mark>

With a new approach to crowdsourcing noise pollution data, Silencio creates a completely new economy for data that rewards users who deliver value to the network. This is just the beginning, and we plan to unveil a comprehensive tokenomics structure in the near future. Our team is working hard to create a fair and sustainable system that benefits all users.&#x20;

## How can I earn Noise Coins?

## What is a Hexagon?

Silencio's Hexagons are part of the H3 index, a hierarchical geospatial index system. In this system, H3 indexes refer to cells within a spatial hierarchy. Each hexagonal cell, up to the maximum resolution supported by H3, contains seven child cells beneath it in the hierarchy. Our data is gathered at the H13 level, which covers an area of approximately 43 m2 or 141 feet. This is the smallest cell size for visualizing Silencio's data. There are over 11 trillion H13 cells worldwide.&#x20;

Example image of H13 Hexagons in Silencio's Explorer Map:

## &#x20;What is a discovered Hexagon?

Hexagons are labeled as "discovered" once a measurement has been uploaded from their location for the first time. For instance, all hexagons that do not appear on the map above are considered "undiscovered."

## Silencio 5% Beta Airdrop

* Silencio members using the app before Silencios Token Generation Event (TGE) are entitled to partake in a 5% Beta Airdrop
* The higher the user's league and level within a league, the higher the participation of the airdrop will be

## **User Leagues and Airdrop Participation**

* Users are part of a publicly visible League ranging from 1 (Iron) to 10 (Diamond)
* A user's League is determined by the number of Noise Coins they have earned
* These Leagues are dynamic, and each League represents a 10% percentile rank within the total user base
* A user's League will always reflect their relative position within the network
* Higher Leagues and levels within each correspond to higher future Silencio token rewards

## **Future Airdrop Participations**

* After the Token Generation Event occurs, users will be assessed based on their relative position within the leagues for future SLC continuous airdrops.&#x20;
* The primary benefit of leveling up now for a user will not only be increased participation in the Beta Airdrop but also enhanced involvement in all subsequent recurring airdrops once the token is live.
* This advantage will persist as long as the user can maintain their relative position compared to the rest of the community.

We believe that our tokenomics structure will be a key component in incentivizing users to measure noise pollution in their communities. It will create a sense of ownership and reward those who contribute to the platform's growth and success. We look forward to sharing more details with you in the near future.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://decentra-2.gitbook.io/litepaper-silencio/the-project/tokenomics.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
